Rkatsiteli Akura Premium Qvevri vintage 2014 dry white - made from Rkatsiteli grapes harvested from the vineyards of the Akura winery, in the village of Akura, Kakheti region, Georgia. 2014 was a very successful year for the Rkatsiteli grape harvest in Kakheti. Acura winery vineyards are controlled to limit yields. The wine is created according to the traditional Kakhetian technology, which implies fermentation and aging of wine in clay jugs (kvevri) buried up to the neck in the ground. The wine is golden in color, the aroma has a herbaceous scent along with the aromas of white flowers. The taste of the wine is a bit exotic. The taste is fresh, spicy, noble and correctly balanced, with the aroma of green pepper. The aftertaste reveals pleasant notes of green apple and yellow plum. The aftertaste lasts long enough and enriches the taste buds with minerals.
